Fire Safety Review

A review of the existing fire safety systems includes an inventory of current status in existing buildings and operations. The review is complemented by a gap analysis, and potential additional needs that have been identified are summarised in a List of Suggested Actions. A Fire Safety Review is typically undertaken in conjunction with the sale, purchase, renovation or development of a property.

Fire Safety Design

We help you with Fire Safety Design and advice throughout your project. We have wide experience of working with different types of clients and projects. Depending on your needs we can conduct, for example, preparatory studies, fire safety design report and a fire safety review. Further, we can develop fire and life safety documentation and fire protection design sketches and drawings.

Performance Based Design

We have extensive experience of analytical design of fire protection systems and have worked on a variety of large and complex projects. To ensure that we can meet your needs concerning construction design and use in the best and most cost-efficient manner possible, we can, for example, provide egress design, advanced fire gas transport calculations and radiation calculations.

Fire Safety Design of Load-Bearing Structures

The use of fire safety design calculations when designing fire protection of load-bearing structures, instead of engineering rules of thumb, allows the optimization of such fire safety design. Systematic Fire Prevention Management

All building owners and businesses should, according to the Swedish regulation on Protection against Accidents, conduct systematic fire prevention design and assessment. We can support you by, for example, conducting an inventory of existing fire safety systems, developing risk assessments, creating fire protection design sketches, producing action plans and educating personnel.

Third Party Review and Documentation

In preparation for the opening of a building, all fire protection documentation must be finalised. This documentation describes the fire protection and confirms that it has been correctly installed and designed according to the building approval. We can help you create necessary control documentation which describes which types of control must be conducted before the building can be opened for business.

Operations and Maintenance Plans for the Fire Safety

We can develop an object-specific plan for how often you should check the systems and the components that are part of the fire safety system. We also help you with suggestions for how these components or systems should be monitored. You can also employ our sister company BrandTec as they can develop an implementation plan for your organisation and provide the necessary education for your personnel.

“SAK 3” – Certified Experts in Fire Safety

There are occasions when the Building Committee determines that the self-monitoring conducted by the Building Developer is insufficient. In such cases, the Building Committee can require examination of necessary documentation by a Certified Expert. The Certified Expert checks that the Building Developer meets current building regulations in the event of a fire. In these situations, there is a need for a Certified Expert in Fire Safety (so-called “SAK 3”). At Brandskyddslaget we have Certified Experts that can provide this service.
