Our glass experts have been involved in the design of the double-glazed facade. In 2013, Akademiska Hus began building Karolinska Institute\u2019s new laboratory, Biomedicum. The project was finished in 2018 and contains numerous departments. The building includes both office space, modern laboratory space, lecture theatres and meeting rooms for researchers from all over the world.<\/p>\n
Brandskyddslaget has been involved in different ways throughout the project, from an advisory role in the idea-stage through to the detailed design and building documentation stage.<\/p>\n

Send email<\/a><\/p>\nNCC\u2019s Head Office, Stockholm<\/h6>\n
In 2017, NCC commissioned a new building of a Head Office and development of the area around the building. External office tenants, a gym, restaurants and residential properties are examples of buildings in the surrounding area.<\/p>\n
Brandskyddslaget has been involved in all phases of the project which began with a risk assessment in conjunction with the detailed planning as the building lies close to an artery for transport of dangerous goods. We have used analytical design to develop a solution that can accommodate the large open spaces found on several floors in the building. Finally, we have been active in designing the fans in operation for the ventilation system and sprinkler design.<\/p>\n

A new Office Building in Solna with a floor area of 35 000 square meters. The building will house mainly offices with some space devoted, for example, to a restaurant, conference facilities, a caf\u00e9 and a garage in the basement. The roof terrace will contain so-called PODS (small glass cubes) reserved for meeting space.<\/p>\n
Brandskyddslaget has been involved in providing advice in the early stages of the project until the detailed design in the building planning phase. We have developed the fire safety design and sprinkler design.<\/p>\n

Send email<\/a><\/p>\nICA\u2019s Head Office, Solna<\/h6>\n
NCC is building a new Office Facility for Fabege within Signalen 3 in Solna. The building will contain ICA\u2019s Head Office as one of several tenants. As for other new buildings for Fabege, this building will be classified according to BREEAM \u2013 BRE Environmental Assessment Method, a classification scheme for green buildings developed by BRE in the UK in the 1990s.<\/p>\n
Brandskyddslaget has designed the fire safety within the building. Using analytical design, the office building has been designed to allow both open and closed light-courtyards which can be tailored to suit the needs of present and potential future tenants. We have also participated in the risk assessment during the planning process and the sprinkler design during the development of the request for proposals phase.<\/p>\n
